African American Slave trade eLearning curriculum

Overview: This is a eLearning curriculum made to introduce the idea and issues related to Slavery and black history for Italians to have a cultural relation to the African American Culture.

Problem:
Italian students were not aware of the history that has lead to some of the recent attacks and interventions that are occuring in the USA and teachers felt underqualified or preared to teach about this history to the students. Furthermore doing so during online teaching sessions.

Solution:
The Curriculum was created to lead teachers in teaching the material in an eLearning setting. The curriculum is a month long lesson plan to follow the month of black history awareness and involves various instructual modes of learning such as group work, discussion points, video powerpoint with interactive markers and an interactive quiz.

Outcome:
The teachers were able to confidently instruct the lessons that are easy to follow within the curriculum. Students responded well and assessments showed that all material was learned appropriately. Teachers were left with a base to continue and proceed further with this topic for cultura awareness.
